Animation of Biblical Proportions Print E-mail
Project BOM
title card

With the help of their animator-bishop Joe Sumerhays, the Danbury ward primary got together and produced 5 animated cartoons from the Bible. They even had a premier at the local theater. It was quite a cool event for the kids. You can see the movies here.

I like it so much that I asked Joe if our ward could tag along and do the same thing with his ward this year. He said 'yes' and so we're off. Between the two wards we got about sixty 9-12 year olds. Joe does this sort of thing for a living (helping kids animate) so he clued me in on the realities of this undertaking. Gulp! We settled on several stories to animate and had our first get together on May 9th.
